I hold a bachelor of science in Liberal Studies with a concentration in History. I am now working on my Master of Arts in English with an emphasis in Teaching English as a Second Language.
Experience
I have worked as a tutor in the writing center at Texas A&M University in Commerce for a year. I have assisted students from a variety of disciplines including: English, ESL, History, Sociology, Psychology, Education, Criminal Justice, and the Sciences. I've completed graduate level courses in Teaching ESL, Adolescent Literature, General Linguistics, Broader Administration of Writing, Sociolinguistics, and French for Reading. I enjoy having the opportunity to help students, and being able to steer them in the proper direction. It is fulfilling to see the students accomplish their goals, and satisfying to know that I was able to help.
